  1. I believe it is amazing that such life can live in a area such as the dead sea. The fact that the waves are caused by the little plumes on the floor of the sea makes you think about the way little things in life cause such great impact. Finding life on the floor is truly a wonderful discovery.

  2. I thought that was amazing how the fresh water springs made the ripples in the water. It was unique how the only thing living in that sea was archea, and how there are 1,000 to 10,000 archea per ml..There was so much salt in the sea that you could barely see! This article was very enjoyable. I learned so much about the Dead Sea.

  3. The waters of the Dead Sea, a landlocked lake that is between Israel and Jordan, are the saltiest seas on Earth, inhospitable to all but a few hardy species of bacteria and one species of alga. How do the microbes survive? well Researchers in the states Israel and the United States have now found the secret of at least one of them. a Haloarcula marismortui which means, roughly, and salt loving boxlike bacterium that lives in the Dead Sea that has a unique proteins that protect it from the depredations of salt.
