Tumors evolve?

Scientists have determined that there is a significant amount of mutations within the cells of a tumor. They have determined that different parts of tumors are significantly different from each other. This could be very helpful in finding different treatments and hopefully more of a chance for cures.

So many things to comment upon. Have at it!

  1. I had no idea about the complexity of tumors and I am sure no one else really knows either. It is so strange to think about a tumor having many parts, when everyone thinks it is just one single horrible thing. Like it says, it's an entire world! Doctors should look into the history of patient's and they should kill the entire body even if it spreads because then the spreading of the cancer does not have anything to latch onto.. to make it even more worse than it already is.

  2. So if every tumor is different...doesn't that just mean that each and every tumor has specialized parts that need to be figured out how to be disabled? You'd think that different species of tumors would be different in what it takes to eliminate them, right? Or maybe they are all related as tumors and equally easy to take care of...It's a mystery for now.
