GMO Debate

Take some time and read and look through the Livebinder composed for this (I'll try to add new sites as we find them). Determine your opinion of the use of GMOs for several situations.
  • Agricultural use for animal feed or ethanol
  • Agricultural use for human consumption
  • Medical uses (pharmaceutical and gene therapy)

    there was no significant differences in the safety and nutritional value of feedstuffs containing material derived from genetically modified plants. Specifically, the studies noted that no residues of recombinant DNA or novel proteins have been found in any organ or tissue samples obtained from animals fed with GM plants.     Since there didn't seem to be any issues with the research I believe that GMOs are safe for animal feed. Actually they are probably better for the environment than conventional crops (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=atrazine-water-tied-hormonal-irregularities)
