Stereotypes: Women like fruits and vegetables, men like meat

The American Society of Microbiology has made a huge step forward in the differences in diet between the human genders. They determined that males prefer meat and poultry while females prefer fruits and vegetables. While this seems like identifying that water is wet, it might also be very good for following food poisoning cases. Do you fit in with this study's findings?

I'm typing this as I eat a bowl of pineapple so I found it appropraite to blog about. After reading the study and thinking about what I typically see men and women eat I have to agree with the article. It is much more common to see a women order soup and salad (vegetables in the salad) while men often tend to drift more toward "bar food" of hamburgers and fries. I think that women are often more conscious about what they eat due to their body image as it seems women are often trying to lose weight. Men on the otherhand may prefer meat for the proteins that it provides as well as the "manly feeling" they get after grilling out a steak.

  2. I agree with Kristen on this topic. When you are out to dinner, you typically see a women eating a salad, and a man order a steak. It is very rare that you ever see a women over there with a big juicy hamburger and a guy with a garden salad. Society has made it to be that women need to watch there figure and be "petite". By doinh so, they stick to the fruits and vegetables so they get the good feeling of eating right and the hopeful outcome of a great body. On the other hand, the men are looking for the meat that is filled with protein so they can keeep there "masculine" figure. Women dont want to be muscular and eat meat to gain protein. They want the vegetables and fruit to keep up with their body image. Girls would rather run and do some sort of ab workouts to keep the little body image. Boys on the other hand would rather lift weights to can muscle and feel "manly" about themselves.
